Frequently Asked Questions

What Forms Of Payment Do You Take?

At the field, we can only take CASH payments.

You can prepay with a credit card by using our online booking form, or by calling us at 250.374.6655. We also accept e-transfers.

Is There An Age Restriction To Play Paintball?

Yes - At Kamloops Paintball Games players must be at least 10 years old to play .68 calibre paintball (regular paintball).  We do however offer private bookings for a low impact version of paintball (SPLATMASTER) for players as young as 7 years old.

Is Paintball Safe?

Statistically, paintball is one of the safest sports. There are more injuries reported by people playing soccer, hockey, baseball and even bowling!

Kamloops Paintball Games is a fully insured, regulated field. Player safety is our number one priority. Every player must go through our safety session before playing. All players must wear a full face mask and all markers are set with velocity limits. Our referees are on field with you to make sure that all players are having fun and being safe!

Does It Hurt?

We often hear players say "It doesn't hurt as much as I thought".

Getting tagged with a paintball is similar to a sting from a rubber band flick. The sting may last for a few seconds but then you are ready and pumped for the next game. The more into the game you are and the more you want to win the less you will feel it.

We also use high quality paintballs that use a special shell which allows the paintballs to break easily on impact.

What Clothes Should I Wear?

Wear clothes that you don't mind getting dirty. We recommend that players wear comfortable clothing as you will be running/crouching down, and playing in a wooded area. Jeans, sweats or track pants for bottoms; long sleeve shirts for tops. Comfortable shoes are important; absolutely no heels or open toed shoes.

Our paint is water soluble and easily washes out when laundered. For those with smaller heads, we also recommend bringing a baseball cap to help the paintball masks fit better.

Unfortunately, we no longer offer coveralls.

How Many Paintballs Will I Need?

It depends…Some players are trigger happy and blast through paintballs very quickly. Other players are conservative and make every shot count. On average approx 95% of players buy extra paintballs.

A few reasons why we recommend buying extra paintballs at the start of your session:

  • If you buy a case, you’ll save money. 1 case = $105.00 4 bags of 500 = $134.00
  • So you don't have to line up throughout the day to buy paint refills & miss out on games.

Can I Bring My Own Paintballs?

No. This is a field paint only (FPO) facility.

Due to our insurance regulations, along with player safety, we do not allow paintballs that have not been purchased from our field. Any players found to be using off-field paint will be asked to leave the field. No exceptions.

Can I Use My Own Equipment?

Absolutely! But, we will inspect your equipment to make sure it meets our safety standards.

What Is The Difference Between Public Walk-Ons & Private Bookings?

Sundays are Public Walk-On Day. You will play with whoever shows up at the field that particular day. Sundays are a mix of experienced players and beginners. Players are split up into teams and we strive to make both teams equal in experience level so that the games are fair.  By far, Sundays are our best days of paintball.

Private bookings are booked both Saturday and Sunday and you play with only your group. You will be assigned your own private playing area, along with at least one referee for guided game play. With a private group booking, you set the pace.  You can play with or without breaks, after all, it’s your party.  We recommend a minimum of at least 6 players for a private booking.

Are You Open If It Rains?

Yes! We go rain or shine! Just remember to bring a change of clothes for the ride home.
